Short answer: take the job! IBM is International Business Machines. It is a stable corporation. IBM brought some of the earliest mainframes. It is a solid company and looks good on a resume. I was there in the 1980s and loved the technical aspect of my jobs. You'll be challenged, expected to perform at your best. IBM has two career tracks; technical and managerial. You can choose, or be the rare individual who can perform in either role. IBM can also stand for "I've Been Moved". General stay at one location is a few years. Some may be more, some less. Hope this helps.
