How to run jobs in ASCII charset on mainframe express

I am setting up by mainframe express project to be run in ASCII mode, for this I am using the compiler directive of CHARSET(ASCII).
But when I run the jobs, spool is still showing that chararcter set used by JES is EBCDIC.
Can any one give pointers to run the jobs in ASCII charset?
