Access database at two LPARs using COBOL

Is it possible to access database which are present at two different LPARs using COBOL, what I mean is we have our production database on TSO one region and a test database on TSO two region.
I need to compare a table which exists on these two different region, would it be possible for me to access these using a COBOL db2 program which would run on either of the region.
Hope I am able to convey my question correctly.
